In September 2006, I went to Swansea University to start my English degree.
I remember that choosing which university you wanted to spend the next three years at was a very difficult process. The suggestion of Swansea came from my mother, who had spent a lot of time holidaying there and the nearby Gower Peninsula as a child.
Going to Swansea has been one of the best decisions I have made.
I have very happy memories of my time there, especially during my final year when everything my housemates and I were doing was potentially the last time we would be doing it together.
We would often visit Gower’s beaches at the weekends. We each had our favourites – mine was probably Three Cliffs Bay.
This photograph was taken at Worm’s Head in Rhossili in February 2008.
It holds a special place in both my heart and my mother’s and is somewhere I am looking forward to going back to soon.
