Exploring Raglan Castle

Raglan Castle in Monmouthshire, south-east Wales, is an unexpected gem.

I visited it for the first time in August and was blown away by how well preserved the late medieval castle is, its impressive arch designs and its lily-strewn moat.

Speaking to one of the welcome team I explained that I had driven passed Raglan Castle on multiple occasions but never stopped. Replying with a laugh, the staff member said: “Yes, this is the castle that everyone always drives passed but never stops at.”
