Dublin, ROI: August 2016

I snapped this while touring Dublin in a sightseeing bus.

Dublin is home to many statues, including political, literary and cultural figures. James Joyce and Oscar Wilde have their own statues together with Molly Malone and ‘Floozy in the Jacuzzi‘.

I have since found out that this statue, located outside St Stephen’s Green, commemorates the 19th century Irish Famine. The semi circular set of pillars surround Theobald Wolfe Tone, a leading Irish revolutionary figure.
