The coastal city of Lisbon

During my recent holiday in Portugal I spent a day visiting the country’s capital, Lisbon. This bustling coastal city has around half a million inhabitants with a further 3 million in the Lisbon Metropolitan Area.

There are buildings in a large variety of architectural styles, and the narrow streets sometimes give pops of colours with pastel-coloured walls or tiling while the hilly city’s Moorish castle, São Jorge Castle, gives an excellent bird’s eye view.
