[Peek abroad] 965 miles across Europe

I have just returned from an amazing mini break touring Europe as part of my ‘thirty countries before thirty‘ mission. I will go into more detail about the holiday in upcoming posts but the trip can be broken down in numbers as follows:

One car… A VW Polo
One new lens… Second-hand telephoto
One wasp sting… Unlucky, Dad
Two people… Dad and I
Two flights… Lufthansa
Three countries… Austria, Liechtenstein, Germany
Five hotels… Two in Austria, one in Liechtenstein, two in Germany
Seven castles… Hohensalzburg Castle, Vaduz Castle, Meersburg Castle, Neues Schloss Meersburg, Hohenzollern Castle, Neuschwanstein Castle, Hohenschwangau Castle
16 towns and cities… Salzburg, Bad Goisern, Hallstatt, Zell am See, Innsbruck, Neder, Eschen, Vaduz, Bregenz, Friedrichshafen, Bermatingen, Meersburg, Tübingen, Memmingen, Oberammergau, Munich
28 degrees… Average temperature
1,905m… Highest point above sea level at Seegrube Station, Nordkette

965 miles and 535 photographs!

A highlight of the trip, staying in the Neustift im Stubaital valley in Tyrol, Austria.

Thirty countries before thirty

As regular readers will already know, in January I set myself the goal of visiting 30 countries before turning 30 in March 2018. With 22 countries already visited, adding eight more seemed quite achievable, especially when you have parents who are willing to go on holiday with you!
